Reasons to Workout

Sometimes I need a reminder. This year is flying by and I’ve spent a good chunk of it so far fat and sick. Illness exacerbated by obesity. I have got to get back on the grind, this is my life now. I try to remember that as a child and teenager, exercise wasn’t a chore or hard at all. Nope, it was just part of my life, playing and running around for hours on end. Even as a young adult, I just did what I needed to do. If that included running for a bus or dashing up a flight of stairs to be on time somewhere, so be it. Now I get winded just walking up a flight of stairs. I’m middle-aged now with knee issues and heart issues and all sorts of things, but I’ve got to get it together. This is my time! What is your WHY?
